Evans is best known for his superhero roles as the Marvel Comics characters Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Human Torch in Fantastic Four. He began his career on the 2000 television series Opposite Sex, moving to film in 2001 with the teen comedy Not Another Teen Movie. In 2013, he starred as the lead in the critically acclaimed science fiction action film Snowpiercer, and in 2015, he made his directorial debut with the drama Before We Go, in which he also starred.
