howl, wolf, arcana royaleSpells, Slots and Sirens: Stories of the Arcana Royale

I’m finishing the first round of copyedits on my second anthology with Heather Long and Kellyann (K.F.) Zuzulo, entitled “Spells, Slots and Sirens: Stories of the Arcana Royale”.  My contribution is the love story of a werewolf and a witch.  The romance part was a real stretch considering my domestic situation but I am enjoying writing more paranormal fiction.

Spells, Slots and Sirens: Stories of the Arcana Royale is expected to be released on June 19, 2011.

zombieland, nut upNew Short Story

I have a buddy romp short story in the works that can be described as “Smokey and the Bandit” meets “Zombieland”.  It has lots of dark humor, violence and post-apocalyptic nonsense.  I’m enjoying the change and the words really seem to flow so this is clearly what I should be writing now.

I haven’t queried Sapphire Blue Publishing about this story yet.  I’ll wait until it is finished and then send in the finished work to see if they like it or not.  If they do, you might see it this winter.

Task Force 125 and Sarah Stevens

Grace, the Executive Editor at Sapphire Blue Publishing, has informed me she’s working on the edits for my 4th installment in the Task Force 125 series, “Stealing Liberties”.  This was my most ambitious story yet.  I have several storylines and many new characters so I trust I’ll be putting many hours in on it this summer.

Stealing Liberties should be available in late 2011/early 2012.

The Super Insane Completely Off The Hook Summer Vacation Road Trip

the super insane completely off the hook summer vacation road trip

On June 6th, my sons and I will pack up our Jeep and head out for the summer on my longest road trip ever (and theirs too considering they’re only three and six).

Check out the event here on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=210448512314236

Our first leg is from Texas to Florida for a rendezvous with my parents in Florida.  After a short stay there, we’ll all convoy up to Boston for a weekend visit with cousins.  My brother and his son will fly into Boston and continue up to Maine with us.

summer vacation, national lampoon, road tripWe’re hoping to rent a house for my brother, his son, me and my two sons and our parents.  It’ll be the first time all of us have ever had a chance to vacation together as a family!

When they kick us out of Maine, I’ll drive on to Minnesota to drop my boys for a visit with their father’s side of the family for a couple weeks.  While they’re there, I’ll do some vacationing of my own – on my own.

Once Gramma & Grampa Pietsch are exhausted, I’ll pick up the boys and we’ll head back down to San Antonio for school shopping and about 2 weeks to get back in the swing of things before school starts in August.

I’m hoping to blog the trip with text, photos and videos so stay tuned.  We’re likely to get very National Lampoon this summer!
