Four Pounds From One Slice of Banana Bread? NOT!
Wednesday was another very interesting day but nothing is ever boring when you have two little boys. I did break down and eat a slice of oatmeal/banana bread (no sugar added) but I paid for it when my blood sugar crashed anyway.
What I ate:
Breakfast: EAS AdvantEdge, Coffee
Snack: Slice of oatmeal/banana bread
Lunch: Texas Double Whopper (with no bun or mayo – they put it in a bowl)
Snack: Pumpkin pie (Sugar & Fat free)
5:30pm Boot Camp followed by a Zone Perfect Bar
Dinner: Subway Club (with no roll or dressing) Beef, turkey, ham, lettuce, spinach, onion, green pepper, pickle, tomato, black olives
I don’t frequent malls, but I had to hit one after boot camp to go to a GNC for a new source of protein. I was looking for a fruit punch flavored whey protein. Isopure Alpine Punch is pretty tasty but at $75 a tub, it’s a bit out of my price range. I found some GNC Pro Performance AMP Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 (long name for whey protein isolate) in fruit punch flavor at only $46 for a large tub. It doesn’t mix clear like Isopure (or taste as good) but it’s loaded with nutrients and great quality protein (and it isn’t chocolate or vanilla).
I seem to be gaining weight this week. I’m not surprised. My doctor put me on a new medication in preparation for a procedure I need to have in January. I’m not thrilled, but it has to be done. I just need to watch the tortilla and banana bread intake while I’m on this medication. (Thus the fruit punch flavored protein.)
