The Expendables: Will Bolo Yeung Finally Kick Van Damme’s Ass?
The Expendables Scuttlebutt
According to Sylvester Stallone’s website (http://sylvesterstallone.com/), Sylvester Stallone will not be directing or writing The Expendables‘ second movie. For those of you who have been under a rock, The Expendables had a $70 million budget and earned over $275 million at the box office. The all-star cast included Stallone and his two business partners from Planet Hollywood, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as some of my favorite fantasy fodder like Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Mickey Rourke. Other stars included Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, Eric Roberts and the amazing Jet Li.
Sly wrote, directed and starred in The Expendables. When you find out Sly is writing, directing and starring in a movie, it’s time to ring the bell because that fight has been won. All that’s left is to choose your seat and watch the magic unfold.
“Stallone gave me a part in his next movie. But I ask him about the subject, about the story.” Van Damme tells the magazine. “He said, ‘You’re gonna make lots of money.’ I don’t want to hear that, I want to hear what was my character. He was unable to tell what it’s going to be.”[Stallone said:] ‘You know, uh, well, the fighting will be good.’[So I said:] ‘Sly, what is my character?’ So I didn’t do the movie.” the actor further points out.

Sylvester Stallone scored a massive box office coup last year with The Expendables ($275m+), the action movie that featured an all-hero ensemble cast including Stallone, Jet Li, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Steve Austin.
Stallone was the creative force behind the original: writing, directing and starring in the picture. But Sly isn’t planning on helming the sequel, which is currently in development. A script has already been produced by writing team Ken Kaufman and David Agosta and Stallone is currently meeting with potential directors for the film.

Yeah…clearly Van Damme needs to have his head examined for turning Sly down! It would be hillarious to see Bolo kick his ass! Kinda scary about the writers that they have brought in but who knows…maybe these men just need a chance….lol….Can’t wait to see what they come up with….Gotta hand it to Sly …he knows what he’s doing with movies
I agree! I’m hoping these writers are ready for their breakout screenplay and bring it. I’d hate to see something with such promise go down the toilet.
I want Bolo to do those neck crunches. And stepping on people. Bare handed stuff. Best. Killer. Ever.
I agree. I’ve been a fan of Bolo for some time. Of course, he is 72 now but he’s still in great shape.
Hi all, I know Bolo in person. He said that he was born in 1946. So he is 64 years old now… But I agree, he is still in great shape and very strong!
Wow, Dave! Thanks for the info. Bolo is badass with awesome sauce on top. His accomplishments are truly impressive. If you happen to see him anytime soon, please let him know I’d be happy to carry his gym bag, be his driver or do any other menial jobs he may need help with. 🙂
Hi Lisa, thanks for your reply. You are very funny 😉
I will mention it to him 😉
Now he is involved in a new movie “Trigger Reaction” but it’s still in development.

I forgot to say… unfortunately Bolo said nobody has contacted him regarding the sequel…
Thanks for the tip on Bolo’s current project. I’ll definitely be looking for it!
Gotta say I’m disappointed the rumor wasn’t true. I’d love to see him give Van Damme the beatdown he should have had years ago. Bolo brings great action!
Now the important question:
If Sly called him, would he do it? 😉
I agree with you. Bolo is a living legend of action cinema and we want to see him again.
Regarding your question, yes Bolo respect Sly and if he has a serious offer, then he will agree to appear in the sequel!
Awrite this mite be bit cheecky i am a big fan of bolo i was woundering if it is posb to get a autograph i would pay for it
I’m sorry. I’m neither a friend nor a representative of Mr. Yeung. I’m just a fan.
